Tuesday - Cleveland, Botanical Gardens, Mt Cootha
Today we travel northward through Redland Bay to Cleveland, we stop at Cleveland Point to take in the incredible coastal views of Stradbroke Island and Moreton Island, this is a terrific photo opportunity! After lunch (optional) our trip continues into Brisbane's beautiful Botanical Gardens. Arriving at the Botanical Gardens we are met by our guide who takes us on a tour through the wonderful Japanese Gardens, Bonsai House and Fern Garden, you'll love every minute! Before making our way home we make one last stop at the top of Mt Cootha. From the top of Mt Cootha Lookout you can enjoy some incredible views northward over Brisbane. Tonight - Gather around the piano for a fun night of song & laughter.

Wednesday - Cedar Creek Winery, Mt Tamborine, St Bernards Hotel
This morning we board our coach and travel into the lush hinterland. We make our first stop for morning tea (optional) at the award winning Cedar Creek Winery. Enjoy some tastings from this Queensland vineyard as well as the warm local hospitality. From here we board the coach again and make our way to the top of Mt Tamborine. Take some time here to browse along the gallery walk and enjoy some shopping in the curio shops. This afternoon, before heading down the mountain, we stop at the historic St Bernard's Hotel. Tonight - Watch a movie in the Bombora Cinema or our coach can take you to the fabulous Twin Towns Services Club.

Thursday - Madura Tea Plantation, Ballina, Macadamia Castle
This morning we make our way southward to the Madura Tea Plantation in Murwillumbah. Enjoy a guided tour through the plantation and factory. While we're here you might like to sample some of the premium tea produced on site with your morning tea. After morning tea we continue our journey south through Byron Bay then down the scenic coastal road to Ballina where we stop for lunch (optional). Before making our way home this afternoon we make one last stop at the Macadamia Castle - take some time to browse through this small wildlife park or sample some of the delicious macadamia nuts grown at the farm (optional). Tonight - For those of you who have pre-booked your tickets we are off to the amazing Warner Brothers 'Outback Spectacular' show on the Gold Coast (optional- booking & payment is required at the time of booking your holiday).

Friday - Tweed River Cruise, Tumbulgum, Stokers Siding
This morning we board the Tweed Endeavour River Boat for a cruise down the Tweed River - enjoy the expert commentary and array of wildlife on the river. Our cruise terminates at Tumbulgum where we continue our journey by coach; from here we travel through Uki and Stokers Siding, near the base of the spectacular Mt Warning. We make a brief stop in Murwillumbah for lunch (optional) and to browse through the local galleries. After lunch we make our way home through the enchanting Tweed Valley of contrasts. Tonight - Stay in and relax, catch a movie in the Bombora Cinema or go out on the town to one of the services clubs on the Bombora bus.

Regarded as our 'finest' city, we board the Rivercat on the Brisbane River (optional) and cruise into Southbank. You might like to enjoy morning tea (optional) by the river before our history guide joins us and we board our coach to commence a journey around the city and back in time as our guide talks us through Brisbane's colourful convict past, you will be fascinated! Before making our way home we stop for lunch (optional) and shopping in the Queen Street Mall. Tonight - Gather around our piano for a fun night of song & laughter.

Wednesday - Surfers Paradise, Q1 Tower, Jupiters Casino
This morning we tour Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. We make our way up to The Spit, past the Marina Mirage and SeaWorld before making our first stop at the Q1 Tower, the tallest residential tower in theWorld. From here you might like to go up to the observation deck on the 77 floor (optional) or stroll down Cavill Avenue to Surfers Paradise beach to take some photos. We then board our coach for the short ride to Jupiters Casino, enjoy a flutter in the casino, some shopping at Pacific Fair or take in the fabulous Jupiters floorshow which is ½ price today (optional). Tonight - Watch a movie in the Bombora Cinema or our coach can take you to the fabulous Twin Towns Services Club.

Thursday - The Tropical Hinterland, Natural Arch
This morning we climb the mountainous Lamington Plateau, a part of the World Heritage listed Lamington National Park. We stop for photos at the spectacular Natural Arch take some time to enjoy the lush rainforests, ancient trees and spectacular views. This afternoon we travel through the Tweed Valley near the base Mt Warning- the first peak on the mainland in Australia to be touched by the rising sun. Tonight, for those of you who have pre-booked your tickets we are off to the amazing Warner Brothers 'Outback Spectacular' show on the Gold Coast (optional- booking & payment is required at the time of booking your holiday).

Friday - Sanctuary Cove, Rum Runner Cruise
This morning we travel along the fabled coastal strip all the way to Sanctuary Cove, we make our way to the marina where we board our cruise boat. Sit back, relax and enjoy the expert commentary from our cruise boat captain as we cruise the water ways. After our cruise we stop for a beautiful lunch at the Paradise Point Bowls Club (included) before making our way to the Sanctuary Cove Village. Enjoy the short walk around this luxurious marine village with over 90 specialty stores and 300 marina berths. Monday - Brisbane, Caloundra, Rydge Oasis Resort
Today we start our journey north to the Sunshine Coast leaving Coolangatta. We stop briefly to pick up those passengers joining the tour in Brisbane and then continue on our way stopping just north of Brisbane for lunch (optional). After our lunch we arrive at the beautiful Rydges Oasis Resort in Caloundra where we will be spending the next 7 nights while we explore Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Take sometime to unpack, relax and settle in before for our dinner.

Tuesday - Australia Zoo, Ettamogah Pub
Today we spend the day at Australia's most famous zoo 'Australia Zoo'- walk through the Crocoseum, the Tiger Temple and Elephantasia- Australia's largest Elephant facility. Take in the many spectacular wildlife shows & exhibits that take place throughout the day in this incredible wildlife sanctuary. With so much to see and do make sure you don't forget your camera. This afternoon we visit the worlds most photographed pub the Ettamogah Pub enjoy a cool drink or a walk through the eclectic display of Australian memorabilia inside, it's a must see.

Wednesday - Ginger Factory, Pumice Stone Passage Eco Cruise
This morning we visit Yandina, home of the World's largest ginger factory. Enjoy a guided tour of the grounds and factory and learn about all ginger has to offer. You might also like to sample some ginger treats or enjoy a light lunch prepared at the factory (optional). After our tour we leave Yandina and make our way to the beautiful Maroochy River, from here we board our river boat for a cruise along the river. Sit back and relax as our eco-guide provides an expert commentary on the wonderful wildlife living on the waterways. This afternoon we stop for a shopping opportunity at the enormous Sunshine Shopping Plaza.

Thursday - Hinterland, Blackall Range, Montville, Wine Tasting
Today we climb the ancient Blackall Ranges in the hinterland, this incredible mountain range has been sculptured by volcanoes and water over millions of years. You'll be amazed at the stunning views across the Glass House Mountains from Mary Cairncross Lookout. Further up the range we stop in the beautiful village of Maleny for a tour of a local cheese factory and some tastings before continuing up the range to the historic village of Montville. First settled in 1887 you will find a blend of Tudor, Irish and English cottages. We take some time here to browse through the many galleries and specialty shops. This afternoon we make our way to the cellar door for some wine tasting at one of Queensland's Award Winning Vineyards before our return journey down the range.

Friday - Mooloolaba, Underwater World
Today we visit Queensland's largest oceanarium and aquarium 'Underwater World'. Come face to face with sharks, rays and other predators and surround yourself in the beauty of thousands of coral fish in the 2.5 million litre oceanarium. Be enchanted by seals as they show off in the famous seal show 'seals behaving badly' and the many other marine attractions and exhibits on display throughout the morning. This afternoon enjoy lunch at UnderwaterWorld in the Octopus Café. Time permitting we may stop into some local gift shops on our way home.

Saturday - Eumundi Markets, Hastings Street, Noosa
This morning we visit the Sunshine Coast's famous Eumundi Markets. First established in 1979 these markets are world class. With over 500 stores the markets sell everything locally handmade from delicately constructed craft to organically grown produce. Enjoy a stroll through the wide shady walkways under the canopy of the huge fig trees. You might like to do some last minute gift shopping or relax with and have morning tea (optional). This afternoon we stop to take in beautiful Noosa Village and Hastings Street before making our way back to the resort.

Today is a free day and a great opportunity to explore Caloundra or relax by the pool and savour your last day before heading home.

Monday - Alice Springs- Katherine
9.30am we depart on a local sightseeing tour including ANZAC Hill and a visit to the exceptional National Road Transport Hall of Fame plus the telegraph Station prior to lunch and transfer to the Railway Station in preparation for the 4.10pm departure on the Ghan. Overnight Gold Kangaroo Sleeper Service to Darwin.

Tuesday - Katherine- Darwin
In the morning the Ghan will have a four hour stop at Katherine where you can choose a variety of tours including the Katherine Gorge Cruise or a Helicopter Flight (all at own expense) these can be booked on the train which of course are subject to weather conditions. Anticipated arrival Darwin 4.30pm where you will be transferred to the hotel.

Wednesday - Darwin Local - Afternoon Free
9.00am our coach will depart on an orientation tour of Darwin including a visit to the Aviation Heritage Centre, lunch today can be purchased in the city mall or back at the Hotel. Tonight’s evening meal will be provided at Tim’s Surf n Turf City Restaurant.

Thursday - Darwin- Kakadu
After an early breakfast the coach will depart at 7.00am for the journey via the Arnhem Highway to Kakadu where we will incorporate the Yellow Waters Cruise plus a full hour flight over the area including the Jim Jim and Twin Falls. A light picnic packed lunch will be provided by the local bakery before returning to Darwin.

Friday - Darwin- Berry Springs
A nice easy day where we will visit the exceptional Crodylus Park and Zoo and experience the 10.00am crocodile feeding and the fully air conditioned Museum which features real crocodiles and alligators also a wealth of fascinating facts from years of research. From here we will travel on to the Territory Wildlife Park established in 400 hectares of National Bushland which also provides a continuous people mover service to all the spectacular displays, lunch will also be provided in the air conditioned cafeteria.

Saturday - Darwin - Litchfield Park
7.30am The coach will depart for a full day tour into the renowned Litchfield Park which will include visits to town of Batchelor and a morning tea at the Banyan Tree Café. Then proceed on to the Magnetic Termite Mounds, also the Florence and Wangi falls. A buffet lunch today supplied by the Monsoon Café. Tonight we will enjoy the two hour Darwin Harbour Sunset Cruise followed by an evening meal at the (all you can eat) Seafood on Cullen.

Saturday - Mitchell to Longreach
This morning we depart Mitchell for Morven and then its on to Augathella where we meet up with the Matilda Highway, for a roadside bush lunch at Tambo then its on to Blackall, a town made famous by Jackie Howe, the Great Shearer of the 1900’s- the town also has its own Black Stump. At Barcaldine there is an exhibition of Woman in Australia’s working history. Its then on via the town of Llfracombe with its collection of Historical Farm Machinery.

Sunday - Longreach Local Sights
Stockmans Hall of Fame this has long been favorite with folk who come to view this exhibition of the true icons of the outback. This centre is a national tribute to the people who pioneered and developed the west, honouring the explorers who braved all odds and traveled the unmapped outback and recorded its history and lifestyle (lunch at own expense today). A visit will also be included to the Qantas Founders Outback Museum. Dinner tonight will be provided at the hundred year old Longway Cattle Station’s original two storey Homestead & a tour of the property will also be included.

Monday - Longreach - Cloncurry
Winton: The famous Waltzing Matilda Centre is a tribute to the song with the same name which was written at Dagworth Station by Banjo Patterson. Lunch can be purchased in Winton before proceeding on through Kyuna, which is on the way to the now very famous McKinlay (from Crocodile Dundee fame). Cloncurry: The Flying Doctor Service was established in Cloncurry in 1928. A memorial is here to the pioneers of the RFDS (known as the John Flynn Place).

Tuesday - Cloncurry - Normanton - Karumba
Normanton: This town which is on the Norman River is located between the Savannah Grasslands and the Wetlands- on the outskirts of Normanton where there are lakes with plenty of different species of waterbirds. The famous Railway Station and the rolling stock for the Historic Gulflander service which travels between Normanton and Croydon. After booking into the Motel we will travel on out to: Karumba: Situated right on the Gulf is Australia’s prawn fishing capital and an important centre for Barramundi fishing. This is a great place to see the Brolgas and black swans in their natural habitat. Have an ale with the locals at Karumba Lodge- and a sight to see is to watch the sunset steal over the Arafura Sea. Dinner tonight will be provided at the tavern. Then after dinner it’s a short drive back tour overnight stay at Normanton.

Wednesday - Normanton - Mt Surprise
The day so many of us have been waiting for, a great experience, The Gulflander. You will leave Normanton on the famous Gulflander departing at 8.15am on a journey that you have never quite experienced before. Our morning tea will be at Blackbull. At this point we will reboard our coach and proceed on into Croydon for a light lunch before a brief local tour, prior to traveling through to Georgetown and then its on to Mt Surprise for our three nights accommodation, with the exceptional family owned & operated property.

Thursday - Mt Surprise - Cobbold Gorge
After an early breakfast we board the Bedrock’s Coach with our host Joe, who is also an accredited Savannah Guide for the journey to the Cobbold Gorge. Where you wil enjoy a cruise in silent running electric boats through this incredible Gorge, lunch will also be provided and Helicopter rides over The Robertson River and the escarpment area usually are available at a very reasonable cost. A visit to the Terrestrial Centre at Forsayth will also be included before returning to Mt Surprise.

Friday - Mt Surprise - Mt Surprise
Our Savannah Guide today will again be Joe (born and bred in the area)- we visit a local cattle property and join them for a morning tea at their homestead before we explore the Undarra Volcanic Lava Tubes. The caves were formed some 190,000 years ago when a major volcano erupted, it’s molten lava flowing down a very dry river bed and creating extensive underground tunnels.

Saturday - Mt Surprise - Cairns
Today you travel on the Savannahlander Train into Cairns. This wonderful journey takes all day, passing Almaden, Petford and Dimbulah, arriving at approximately 6.30pm into Cairns. Our coach will be waiting to take us to our accommodation for the next 4 nights. Make sure your camera is working, just so much to see, enjoy and wonder. The crew are good fun.

Sunday - Cairns Local Day
The real highlight of a visit to Cairns is the Skyrail to Kuranda. The rainforest Cableway takes you to the “Village in the Rainforest”. Visit the markets in the atmosphere of this unique area. Lots of food outlets in the main street (Lunch today at own expense). The return journey will again be on the Skyrail (fantastic views where the coach will be waiting to return you to the hotel.

This morning a tour of Palm Cove, then proceed on up to Mossman & enjoy the short walk up to the Falls. On the return we will call into Port Douglas where you can purchase some lunch and do some shopping. The drive along the coastline is a world beater.

Saturday - Springbrook, Hinze Dam, BBQ Lunch
This morning we make our way to theWorld Heritage Listed Springbrook National Park. You will be amazed at the impressive views and spectacular waterfalls set amongst the incredible open eucalypt forest. This afternoon we stop at the Hinze Dam, this monstrous wall holds in over 160,000 million litres of water and supplies Gold Coast City with most of its fresh water. As a special treat today you can take in the spectacular views across the dam as your delicious BBQ lunch is prepared by your coach captain!

Sunday - Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Crystal Cottage
Today we take you to an incredible wildlife sanctuary. Established nearly 60 years ago the sanctuary is now home to one of the largest collections of Australian native wildlife in the world. When we arrive you might like to board the miniature train and take a tour around the expansive grounds. Throughout the morning you might like to make stops to feed the lorikeets and kangaroos, cuddle the koalas (optional) and take in the many wildlife shows on display throughout the day. This afternoon we stop for afternoon tea at the Crystal Cottage.

Tuesday - Tweed River Cruise
Today we cruise down the beautiful Tweed River to Tumbulgum, then by coach through the cane fields & tea tree plantations to historic Stokers Siding and Uki near the base of Mt Warning. This afternoon we stop at Murwillumbah for lunch (optional) before making our way home through the lovely Tweed Valley.

Wednesday - Madura Tea Plantation, Ballina, Macadamia Castle
This morning we stop briefly to enjoy a tour and morning tea at the Madura Tea Plantation in Murwillumbah. After our tour we make our way through Byron Bay to Ballina where we stop for lunch (optional). This afternoon we visit the Macadamia Castle before making our way home. Tonight - Settle in and watch a movie in the Bombora Cinema or our coach can take you to the fabulous Tweed Heads Bowls Club.

Thursday - New Year's Eve, Cedar Creek Winery, Mt Tamborine
This morning we make our way into the hinterland, our first stop is for morning tea at the award winning Cedar Creek Winery. Before lunch time we make our way to the top of Mt Tamborine to browse along the gallery walk and through the curious shops. This afternoon before heading down the mountain we stop at the historic St Bernards Hotel. Tonight's Dinner is a special celebration meal, after dinner you might like to venture down to the beach to welcome in the new year with a spectacular fireworks display.

Friday - New Year's Day- Cleveland, Botanical Gardens, Mt Cootha
Today we travel northward through Redland Bay to Cleveland Point where we stop to take in the incredible coastal views and enjoy morning tea (optional). Boarding our coach again we travel to Brisbane's beautiful Botanical Gardens. You might like to stroll through the amazing Japanese Gardens and exotic Fern House. Before making our way home we make one last stop at Mt Cootha to enjoy the stunning views over Brisbane City.

Saturday - ½ Day Tour Carrara Markets
Everything is for sale under the sun at the biggest outdoor markets in Australia.

Sunday - Free Day
Spend the day relaxing by the pool, at the beach, shops or at one of many theme parks on the Gold Coast.

Monday - Natural Arch, Palmdale Stud
A day of wondering at the marvels of nature, we visit the spectacular Natural Arch set in subtropical rainforest. This afternoon we enjoy lunch at the Palmdale Stud. You'll fall in love with the miniature horses, cattle and donkeys.

Tuesday - Point Danger, Maritime Museum, Kingscliff
This morning we participate in a guided tour on the coach around Coolangatta & Tweed Heads taking in the areas intriguing maritime history. We stop at the Maritime Museum to admire the artifacts and enjoy some morning tea. After morning tea we continue our journey onto the beach side villages of Kingscliff and Salt before making our way home this afternoon.

Wednesday - Surfer's Paradise, Runaway Bay, Sovereign Islands
Today we take in the best attractions the Gold Coast has to offer from top to bottom. After our tour we make one last stop before heading home at the enormous Harbourtown Shopping Centre.

Thursday - Departure - Bon voyage!
Before your journey home today we stop in at Tropical Fruit World and the Crystal Cottage in Currumbin before we transfer you home. Bon Voyage!
